Good afternoon, dear friends. Today I am ill. Despite that illness, I have decided to finally getting around in reviewing a bra I received a while ago – the Comexim Jacqueline. I received this bra via bratabase and I do love the look of it. It’s sort of goofy. It reminds me of shopping in Hot Topic and thinking black nails were a true symbol of rebellion (oops, they really aren’t). Even so, I like the look of this one. Houndstooth and bright red lace make for a strange yet endearing combination. I recall there being customizations with this one, and I know it has a three hook back. It might have reduced cups, but I’m not sure. It definitely doesn’t have the straps moved in because my armpits do NOT like when I try to wear this. For that reason, I have only worn the Jacqueline for about 3 hours. That was one time. I never put it on again, sensing it might hurt me.
Let’s look at this baby.
From the front, everything looks really good. The girls are separated. The red is vibrant. I also love the tiny red stitching along the bottom of the band – it’s very cute and makes this bra feel a little less random.
But unfortunately, there are major fit issues for me.
Here you can see gapping at the top. The cups are too tall. I don’t have any booby there. At the same time, the center is a little too small on my bigger boob. Overall, the makes the cups feel slouchy somehow and if I tighten the straps more, I get a big ole quad. This is actually kind of similar to how the Poison Ivy in a 60HH felt. The cups wanted to gap but at the same time wanted to cut into my boobs. Make up your damn minds, bras.
The profile is very nice, but I expect that with Comexim. The way it’s constructed can hide fit problems. You can’t tell from this image that there is a slight space at the bottom of the cups where my boobs push the cup down because they want room. For being apparently 30E’s, these fuckers cause a lot of trouble.
SIGH… let’s rate her.
Appearance of bra itself (9/10)—This is a kinda weird bra with a younger aesthetic than I typically see from Comexim. This isn’t bad, it’s just not my usual taste.
Appearance of bra on my body (8/10)—Underneath clothes, there is no obvious fit problem. Without clothes, however, you can see issues with gapping/quadding as well as the closeness to my poor armpits.
Straps (7/10)—These are a little too far apart, and I find I can’t tighten them to a good length in order to make the bra not quad or gap. They dig in a little.
Band (9/10)—VERY comfortable band. The previous owner sanded down the end of the band because it dug into her skin. I think this probably helped. But the band is really nice and stretches to just a touch under 30″. The band is my very favorite part, actually.
Gore (10/10)—Comfortable and great. I have no complaints with this gore at all.
Underwire (7/10)—The underwire is just a little too tall on the sides, but the narrowness is excellent.
Cups (7/10)—The Armpit Wars: The Cups Strike Back (2015) will be coming to a theater near you.
Overall rating, then? The Comexim Jacqueline (65H) gets…
81% – A low B, which I think is pretty much exactly what it should get.
