Now that we’ve cried over my failure of the Leopard, which I still want to love, let’s talk about the 28G Cyber Yellow/Navy color way. I will confess it was not my favorite color way, but I was curious because I heard that the more neon ones should fit better for narrow projection. And this is somewhat true, yes.
The Cyber Yellow/Navy fits better than my 28G Sandstone/Navy. That one will have its own review next. Stay tuned, folks. Why is it that the bra I liked the least fits the best? What a cruel joke. Oy ve.
I don’t have much else to say about this bra, really. It’s more narrow, yes, but I’m quadding in cup and near the gore while the upper parts are wrinkled because I don’t have tissue near my armpits/collarbone. The more I try on bras, the more I realize that my tissue is all very concentrated – it is NOT spread out at all.
I also don’t know what it is about this yellow, but it’s not a yellow I particularly like. I enjoy the yellow Marcie because it’s more opaque, and I enjoy it even though it makes me very pink. This is, however, more sheer and it sort of looks bizarre where there’s only one layer of mesh. That’s all aesthetics and subjective, of course. I think warmer skin tones would work really well with this.
Dessous, why do I torture myself with you? Why isn’t your aesthetic all over the place because it’s perfect? 😥
Okay, let’s rate this color way.
Appearance of bra itself (10/10)—This is a solid color combo. I genuinely appreciate this design and there is nothing off about the construction. Will do better on warmer than cooler skin tones.
Appearance of bra on my body (6/10)— Quadding, wrinkling, and a color mismatch against my skin, I’d say. It does give a good shape, but it’s a bit crazy looking with the quadding. I have soft tissue that will make room for itself a bit too much on the single-mesh layer.
Straps (5/10)—Better than the 30G leopard, but I could still stand to have them shorter.
Band (6/10)—3-hooks and wide, which I really like. The elastic is a bit rough on me and the mesh is a bit uncomfortable. It makes me feel like I will be constantly aware of where the band is.
Gore (6/10)—Going to alter the gore on this, but it isn’t particularly bothersome comfort-wise.
Underwire (5/10)—As I said in my leopard review, these are thin, flexible wires. They don’t hurt, but they aren’t where they ought to be. I have not worn these for a full day, yet, so we will see…
Cups (7/10)—The mesh is less soft on these ones. I wish it was as soft as the leopard one, but it’s not. The quadding isn’t uncomfortable and neither is the wrinkling near the bottom, but both are still fit issues I’m having.
Overall rating, then? Cyber Yellow/Navy Dessous gets…
64% – you should have studied, you fool!!
